Eniola Sulyman-Yusuf, the elder sister of the Attorney-General of Kwara State, Ibrahim Sulyman, has celebrated her brother’s conferment as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in an emotional post late Monday.
Sulyman was among the 68 legal practitioners sworn in as Senior Advocates of Nigeria by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, at the 2026/2027 Legal Year ceremony.
The ceremony, which was held on Monday, marked the new legal year. The appointees comprise 67 advocates and one academic, Professor Nnamdi Obiaraeri.
The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee had approved the elevation of the 68 legal practitioners at its 174th plenary session held in Abuja in July.
In a tweet via her X handle on Monday, Eniola noted that Sulyman’s SAN conferment came exactly seven months after the passing of their father.

She noted that the event would have been a proud moment for their father, who was a lawyer in his lifetime.
“Alhamdulillah, exactly seven months today since my dad passed, my younger brother Senior Ibrahim Sulyman was conferred Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). A beautiful, emotional and fulfilling win, Alhamdulillah,” the tweet read partly.
Eniola included a photo in her tweet where she was surrounded by Sulyman and two other women dressed in black clothes, saying, “Frame two has me surrounded by my lawyer siblings. Yup, man raised three lawyers,” speaking proudly of her father’s legacy of raising three children in the law profession.

“My dad would have been so proud to see the legal baton he passed on soaring high. I wish he stayed to witness this day, and even many months more to watch his 1st grandchild get called to the Nigerian bar soon.
“We plan, but Allah is the best planner. Truly thankful, truly grateful. We are people of Alhamdulillah.
“I have a new title from today, and it’s Egbon SAN (please pronounce by spelling the letters),” the tweet concluded.
Sulyman was appointed as the Kwara Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice on May 11, 2022,
He formerly served as the Commissioner for Tertiary Education in the state.
Sulyman obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2008.
