Game of Thrones legend teases "brave and timely" new Channel 4 drama tackling the far right

Game of Thrones star John Bradley has teased upcoming Channel 4 drama Deadpoint – calling the series "brave" and "timely".
The five-part thriller was announced back in September 2025 and will see Bradley play a supporting role alongside stars Callum Scott Howells, Michael Socha and Christine Tremarco.
And speaking exclusively to Radio Times to promote his new festive film Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint, Bradley explained that Deadpoint "couldn't be any more different" from that project.
"It is a drama about far right activists, and it's partly a family story, and it's partly an indictment of the far right and why people get involved in that – what people are looking for and how they get manipulated into it by rhetoric and argument," he explained.

He added that he was excited to take the role because it felt very different to the sorts of things he's done in his career so far.
"One thing that I don't think I've done is – despite doing popular things and big things and stuff that people like – I don't think I've done anything important before," he said.
"Or maybe I should say pertinent rather than important. I've done a lot of escapism, which is great, but it's just nice to be involved in something that's very much of the moment, will start off a discourse, and people will learn lessons from.
"[It] feels like a really brave and timely and important piece of work, and I was very happy to be involved in it."

The series comes from Clerkenwell Films (Baby Reindeer) and has been created by debut writer Matt Hartley, while it will be directed by Marco Kreuzpaintner (Those About to Die) and Laura Scrivano (The Lazarus Project).
The synopsis for the series reads: "Set amongst the awe-inspiring and unforgiving landscape of Eryri National Park, a close-knit community of climbers is left reeling after a tragic accident on a mountaineering expedition.
"As the group is torn apart by grief, Aaron (Howells) blames himself for the accident and abandons his hometown, to the fury of his sister Seren (Elwy). Coming back after a year abroad, he’s forced to confront his pathological fear of climbing when Seren fails to return from a routine climb.
"Aaron sets off in search of her, facing the mountains for the first time since the tragedy, unaware that an extremist far-right group – the self-proclaimed Justice Crusade, led by the charismatic but unstable former soldier Fairweather (Socha) are also on their own mission in the mountains."
Deadpoint will air on Channel 4.
