Vijay Sethupathi clarified his recent leadership comments on Bigg Boss Tamil 10 after his remarks about leadership and responsibility sparked discussion on social media. The actor explained that his comments were directed only at the contestants and the situations inside the reality show.

The clarification came as some viewers interpreted his remarks as a reference to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay.

In the recent promo for the television show, Vijay Sethupathi made his position clear about his earlier remarks. He said, “The opinions we express on this Bigg Boss stage are only between us and the contestants inside this house. We clearly state that they do not refer to any person or organisation outside.”

He further added, “I thought you would have understood this without me saying it. I should have said this last week, but there was a need to clarify it now, so I am saying it.

” The controversy began after he questioned contestant Shathiga over promises, responsibility, and leadership during the weekend episode.

Interestingly, Vijay Sethupathi spoke warmly about Vijay at the 'Baththa' audio launch in Chennai. Recalling an interaction involving Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay, Vijay Sethupathi said Vijay had personally called him after he wished Jason Sanjay on his birthday.

He recalled Vijay thanking him and described the actor as a “cute fellow” while talking about Jason. Vijay Sethupathi also recalled visiting the sets of Jason Sanjay’s upcoming film 'Sigma' and spending time with him there.

These comments came amid the online discussion surrounding his Bigg Boss remarks.

The 'Baththa' event also brought attention back to the actor’s upcoming film. Directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, the film marks another collaboration between the filmmaker and Vijay Sethupathi after 'Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom' and 'Seethakaathi.' Atlee is among the producers, while Sai Abhyankkar has composed the music.
