Milan are moving closer to appointing Markus Krösche as the club’s new Head of Football, as multiple outlets in Italy are reporting that the Rossoneri have a verbal agreement or an agreement in principle with the former Eintracht Frankfurth and RB Leipzig executive.

According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Gianluca Di Marzio and various others on Saturday evening, Milan have a verbal agreement in place with Krösche, who looks set to join the Rossoneri in the role of Head of Football.
Gerry Cardinale also appeared to confirm that the German is set to join Milan in the near future, confirming that there will be an official announcement ‘very soon’ ahead of kick-off in the Derby della Madonnina.

Milan have been courting Krösche since the summer: The club has restructured its senior management team after parting company with head coach Massimiliano Allegri, sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada and CEO Giorgio Furlani in one fell swoop the day after the 2025-26 season ended.
Since then, Massimo Calvelli has served as CEO, Hendrik Almstadt has been serving as director of player trading and Bobby Gardiner is the director of football intelligence.
Krösche now appears set to join them, overseeing the sporting side of the club in the role of Head of Football.

Milan have been attempting to bring the German in for several months, but were unable to come to an agreement with his former club Eintracht Frankfurth during the summer transfer window.
Krösche has recently left his position with the Bundesliga club, although recent reports in Italy and Germany suggest that Frankfurt will still be owed compensation if Krösche takes on a new job before the summer of 2027.
Reports on Saturday evening suggest that Milan will look to formally appoint Krösche by the start of December.
