The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027 auction will take place in Kochi on October 28, with the five franchises looking to complete their squads ahead of the new season.
All five teams confirmed their retained players in September, leaving them with varying numbers of slots to fill. UP Warriorz has the most vacancies, needing eight players to complete its squad, while Gujarat Giants has just three spots left to fill.
With different amounts remaining in their purses, the franchises will have to weigh their options carefully at Wednesday’s auction. While 27 overseas players have registered, only seven overseas slots remain across the five teams, making competition for those places particularly keen.
