Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's government has yet to discuss replacing Presidential Staff Office (KSP) chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo following his naming as a suspect in an alleged illegal wiretapping case, Coordinating Minister Yusril Ihza Mahendra said.

The National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) has named three individuals as suspects in the alleged wiretapping case, including LSP, identified as Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the current KSP chief.

"Not at all. We are focusing on law enforcement efforts," Yusril told a news conference at his office in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Yusril acknowledged that the KSP position would need to be filled, at least on an acting basis, following the police decision, but urged the public to await further developments.

Bareskrim named three police personnel, identified by their initials LSP, ASN and EH, as suspects in alleged illegal interception, electronic data deletion and unauthorized access. A fourth individual, identified as SU, remains a witness.

The suspects allegedly intercepted telephone numbers belonging to the Indonesian president, state officials, political figures, media representatives, mass organization leaders, nongovernmental organizations and businesspeople.

Yusril said the government would evaluate the case in coordination with relevant state institutions, including the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN).

His ministry would also coordinate with the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs to review which state institutions are legally authorized to possess wiretapping equipment.
