Lucky Lotto player scoops £2.8m jackpot in Wednesday night's draw

A single ticket-holder secured the £2.8 million jackpot in Wednesday’s Lotto draw, while two other players won £1 million each.

The jackpot winner matched all six main numbers, whereas the two £1 million recipients selected five main numbers alongside the bonus ball.

Saturday’s jackpot is estimated at £2 million.

In Lotto HotPicks, which shares the same numbers as the main draw, no player matched all five digits to claim the £175,000 top prize.

Nevertheless, 16 players matched four numbers to take home £6,500 each.

No ticket-holder matched all five numbers plus the Thunderball to win the £500,000 jackpot.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “There’s more great news for Lotto players tonight as a lucky player has landed tonight’s life-changing £2.8 million jackpot, joining the £4.3 million jackpot winner from last Wednesday’s (October 21) draw.

“And Lotto’s winning streak rolls on, with a further two millionaires made after two ticket-holders matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball to scoop £1 million each.

“That takes the total number of Lotto millionaires made in the space of a week to nine.

The winning Lotto numbers were:

Round 1: 02, 04, 21, 26, 30, 38 and the bonus number was 51.

Round 2: 02, 07, 23, 24, 29, 50 and the bonus number was 54.

The winning Thunderball numbers were: 02, 10, 14, 15, 33 and the Thunderball number was 03.

It comes after a lucky player scooped £4.3 million in last Wednesday’s draw, while two others won £1 million.

Meanwhile in September, two jackpots – worth £5.8 million and £2 million respectively – were won in successive weeks.
