NPFL: Inter Lagos Stun Enyimba, Kano Pillars Halt Doma United’s Winning Run

Inter Lagos secured a historic 1-0 victory over Enyimba in Aba on Sunday, recording their first-ever win in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Ezekiel Moses scored the decisive goal for the newcomers in the 18th minute to hand them all three points.

At the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, Kano Pillars ended Doma United’s winning run with a convincing 4-1 victory.

The hosts raced into a two-goal lead in the first half through Abdullahi Musa and Rabiu Ali.

Sadiq Rilwan pulled one back for Doma United in the 53rd minute, but Kano Pillars responded with two more goals from Ahmed Musa and Nasiru Salihu.

Abia Warriors also recorded an away victory, defeating Sporting Lagos 2-0.at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

It was the Warriors’ first win of the season, with Ikoi Etta and Emeka Obioma getting on the scoresheet.

Defending champions Rangers continued their strong run with a 4-2 away win over Kun Khalifat FC in the Oriental derby.

Preye Seikorowei, Ayuba Umar, Temitope Folarin and Waheed Adebayo scored for Rangers, while Chimobi Igwilo netted twice for Kun Khalifat.

In Jos, Plateau United came from behind to beat Shooting Stars 3-1.

Taheer Abubakar put Shooting Stars ahead in the first minute, but Plateau United responded with goals from Jibrin Ibrahim, Seiyefa Jackson and Gideon Monday to claim all three points.

Warri Wolves edged Kwara United 1-0 in Ozoro, with Ejike Ezekiel scoring the only goal of the encounter.

Meanwhile, Nasarawa United and Rivers United played out a 1-1 draw at the Lafia City Stadium.

Harrison Ebah gave Rivers United the lead in the 66th minute before an own goal by Musa Yakubu restored parity for Nasarawa United.
