The EMB-9 warned that exposure to elevated PM2.5 levels poses health risks to the general population, particularly sensitive groups such as children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions.

Residents in affected areas were advised to limit outdoor activity, especially strenuous exercise; wear N95 masks when going outdoors; and keep doors and windows closed to reduce indoor exposure.

The EMB-9 urged the public to monitor official advisories and follow instructions from authorities.

It emphasized that air quality can fluctuate throughout the day and may differ across locations.
