Prime Video's Sci-Fi Detective Series Is Officially Dead

The office of Ben Reilly is officially closed for good. Despite 11 Emmy nominations to its name and plenty of acclaim from both critics and audiences, Prime Video has officially cancelled Spider-Noir after just one season. The series marked Nicolas Cage's first-ever series regular role on television, letting him play the trenchcoat-wearing variant of Spider-Man in live-action after voicing a version of the character in the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. With an unceremonious end, it's not the beginning expected from Amazon's partnership with Sony Pictures to develop Spidey-related projects.
