AerosoarX, UFORCE sign MOU on supply chain cooperation

Translate

AerosoarX yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Ukrainian uncrewed systems company UFORCE to explore ways to cooperate on supply chains, including finding alternative component suppliers.

The agreement established a framework in which the companies would use Taiwan’s technology and manufacturing capabilities to help UFORCE diversify its component suppliers, and build a more flexible and resilient supply chain, AerosoarX said in a statement.

The partnership comes as the global uncrewed vehicle industry faces challenges, including limited access to key components, reliance on a limited number of suppliers and uncertainty over production capacity and delivery schedules, the company said.

AerosoarX chairman Lo Cheng-fang (羅正方) said uncrewed systems companies worldwide are having difficulties securing reliable supplies of critical components.

Through the agreement, AerosoarX hopes to use Taiwan’s technological and manufacturing capabilities to meet UFORCE’s global needs, Lo said.

UFORCE develops uncrewed platforms for maritime, land and aerial applications, as well as artificial intelligence (AI) software and command-and-control systems.

AerosoarX said it can provide UFORCE access to Taiwan’s semiconductor, electronic component, communications and precision manufacturing industries.

It aims to improve its ability to coordinate suppliers by connecting Taiwanese manufacturers with international suppliers, while continuing to develop expertise in AI computing, advanced communications and critical components, AerosoarX said.

The agreement reflects its strategy of building international partnerships through Taiwan’s technology industry and supporting the global uncrewed vehicle industry, it added.
