King of the LEGO: Massive Godzilla LEGO Set Stomping into Stores for Black Friday

Let them build. LEGO has officially announced the new Godzilla set, a highly anticipated build that started life as a fan-designed model. Originally submitted as a LEGO Ideas project by designer MattE720 in December 2023, the Godzilla LEGO set will be available for purchase starting on Black Friday, November 27th.
Set #21375 features 5,363 bricks and stands over 27.5-inches (70 cm) tall and 15.5-inches (40 cm) wide at the base, making it one of the biggest LEGO builds currently available and easily the largest creature build ever. The King of the LEGO comes with an equally monster-sized price, as the set will retail for $449.99.
Those who snag it early, however, will get a bit more for their money: the Godzilla Logo & Footprint gift with purchase set contains 359 pieces, and can be added to purchases of the Godzilla set via LEGO before November 30th or while supplies last.
The massive size of the LEGO Godzilla means it’s almost entirely a display piece. The head swivels up and down, and you can either place a tiny tongue or brick-built blue atomic breath in his mouth for different poses. The tail can also be attached facing left or right, depending on how you want to display it. That’s about it for movement, but with its bulky size and bright blue dorsal fins, it’s still an incredibly impressive build.
Perhaps not so coincidentally, the LEGO Godzilla announcement comes just days ahead of the theatrical release of Godzilla Minus Zero, Takashi Yamazaki’s sequel to 2023’s Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One. The new movie hits theaters on Friday, November 6th.

If you’re looking for creature or character builds are perhaps a less intimidating price point, may we suggest sets like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Wallace & Gromit, Peanuts: Snoopy’s Doghouse, Gremlins: Gizmo, or the also newly announced Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku.
