Janine Harouni Dates New YouTube Stand-Up Special ‘Man’oushe’

EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Janine Harouni will release her next special, Man’oushe, on YouTube on October 25th.
Centered on the miscarriage of her first pregnancy, Man’oushe releases to coincide with Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. The special also weaves together threads about Harouni’s Arab heritage, a surprising family DNA test, and the death of the show’s director Adam Brace, who passed away suddenly during its creation.
Brace was an Olivier-nominated director, best known for his work on recent UK hits including Liz Kingsman’s One Woman Show, Leo Reich’s Literally, Who Cares, and Alex Edelman’s Emmy and Tony Award winner Just For Us.
Harouni performed Man’oushe at the Edinburgh Fringe while nine months pregnant, earning her second Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination. This made her one of the few comedians to receive back-to-back noms. Whereas Man’oushe was nominated for Best Show, her debut hour, Stand Up with Janine Harouni (Please Remain Seated), earned her a nomination for Best Newcomer.
Harouni also performed Man’oushe Off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse in New York City. In addition to writing and performing, Harouni exec produced the special alongside husband Andrew Nolan. The show was directed for stage by Brace and Jon Brittian. This is the second special from Bad George, Harouni’s production company owned with Nolan, following Larry Dean’s Dafty, which sold to Sky One earlier this year.
A UK-based American stand-up, Harouni was named Comedy Champion on Netflix’s reboot of Star Search earlier this year. Her stand-up has been viewed over 250 million times on social media and gained her a following of over 850K.
Recently, Harouni wrapped a series regular role opposite James McAvoy in the Sky Original series Meantime, based on the novel by Frankie Boyle, which is slated for release in early 2027. She’s also appeared in Trying (Apple TV), Twenty Twenty Six (BBC), Bob’s Burgers (Fox), and The Batman (Warner Bros.), and is a regular on UK panel shows like Mock the Week, The Last Leg, and The Russell Howard Hour.
Touring the U.S. beginning in December, Harouni is repped by Curtis Brown and Levity Talent.
