ST Singaporean of the Year 2026: Nominate them today

Translate

There’s a quiet magic in ordinary people who, in some unremarkable moment, choose not to look away:
the sales executive who donates part of his liver to a baby girl he’s never met,
the car dealer who quietly pays for the funerals of strangers too poor to afford one,
the teenager who sits with someone’s pain instead of scrolling past it,
the Singaporean whose work halfway across the world has quietly won our nation new friends and respect.
These acts rarely make headlines on their own, but together, they are the fabric of who we are.

Every year, The Straits Times, together with UBS Singapore, goes looking for such people –
not the loudest voices, but the steadiest hands, whose quiet persistence makes Singapore, and the world, a little kinder and braver.

Help us find them:

for Singaporean of the Year – honouring contributions to our community;
for Singaporean of the Year (International Impact) – celebrating individuals or organisations whose work abroad has raised Singapore’s global reputation;
and for Young Singaporean of the Year (under 18-years-old) – recognising courage, kindness and selfless service in someone still finding their way in the world.

Nominations run from Sep 11 to Dec 10, 2026

TELL US WHY YOU THINK THIS PERSON OR GROUP SHOULD BE RECOGNISED
