Nation Media Group on Monday launched its Customer Service Week celebrations at Nation Centre, reaffirming its commitment to audience satisfaction, independent journalism and accelerated digital growth.

Addressing staff and management at the main reception in Nairobi, Group Managing Director and CEO Geoffrey Odundo urged employees to act as brand ambassadors while upholding high standards of service and accountability.

“What we are here to do is to serve customers. We are here as a media house to respond to our audiences out there, to respond to the public, and to make sure that we become brand ambassadors for this organization,” Mr Odundo said.

Under this year’s theme, “The Extra Mile,” the group emphasised its ongoing transformation into a digital-first organisation, calling on staff to actively champion NMG’s digital products and subscriptions.

“We are going through a digital transformation as a company. We are going to go into a very strong digital focus, and every staff member must be a sales force in selling our digital content,” Mr Odundo said.

The CEO further highlighted the crucial role of independent media in the society, noting that as the largest media house in East and Central Africa, NMG remains steadfast in shaping public discourse and holding society accountable.

In a message to readers, partners and stakeholders across the region, Mr Odundo expressed gratitude for public patronage and pledged to deepen engagement throughout the week.

“We want to establish and strengthen the connection we have with you. We are here to serve you, and we wish all our stakeholders a great Customer Service Week,” Mr Odundo said.
