Brandi Carlile Plots ‘Burn the Setlist’ All-Request Tour

Longtime bandmates and collaborators Phil and Tim Hanseroth will accompany the musician on the fall trek

Brandi Carlile is hitting the road this fall, and she’s taking requests. Dubbed the “Burn the Setlist (The All Request Tour),” the trek is billed as a trio tour, with her longtime bandmates and collaborators Phil and Tim Hanseroth joining her.

Because the shows will feature spur-of-the-moment fan requests, each show will be different. The format is one that Carlile launched during her previous The Human Tour, which she embarked on earlier this year.

Along with an all-request set list, the trek will include hitting some of the theaters she used to play earlier in her career, such as Portland’s Revolution Hall; two nights at Rialto Theatre in Tucson, Arizona; two nights at Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater; and two nights in Minneapolis at State Theatre, among others.

As has been the case with some recent shows, such as during Paul McCartney’s underplay concerts at Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and Phoebe Bridgers’ current tour, it will be a phone-free experience with Yondr pouches provided for attendees. “They want to feel free to try difficult things, make mistakes and bond with the audience like never before,” a statement says of the decision. Each show will come with a QR code where those who attend the concert will receive three bootlegs from it, along with other exclusive content from the night. Full bootlegs from each show will be available for purchase to those in attendance.

Presale tickets for premium Bramily fan club members go on sale tomorrow, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. local time, with non-premium presale following at 2 p.m. via its official website. General on-sale begins on Friday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. local time.
