Coronation Street reveals Kit's new meltdown as Lisa steps in

Coronation Street fans can expect more drama for Kit Green next week, as his decision to hide his cancer diagnosis threatens to destroy the most important relationships in his life, leaving him in crisis.
As Kit continues to keep up the pretence about his health, those closest to him can't understand why he's so consumed with anger. But after he lashes out at work and at his mum Bernie Winter-Alahan, will Kit continue to bottle it all up – and risk losing everything that's important to him?

"Kit is on the precipice here, but no-one realises the truth of what he's going through," explains our Corrie spy.
"He's expressing his fear through fury, which just makes him seem volatile and unhinged. The trouble is that his behaviour could have massive consequences for the life he's worked so hard to build for himself."
Bernie can't understand why her son is so angry with her as they await her hospital test results to discover whether she's got the BRCA gene. Sadly, Kit knows that she does have it because of his diagnosis, but hasn't felt able to tell her.
So, as Bernie heads to the hospital full of good vibes and positive thinking, Kit is finding the whole thing unbearable. That's why, instead of being the support Bernie needs in the moment, Kit completely loses his temper.
"It's too much because Kit knows Bernie is in for a nightmarish shock, and he's not able to cope," continues our insider. "His outburst makes Bernie furious, and she gives him a good ticking off. Unfortunately, she's in for a rude awakening as the sad truth comes out."

The emotional toll of that experience, plus the knowledge of what's ahead for them all, is more than Kit can bear. So, when he retreats to work and tries to put his personal struggles aside, Kit fails miserably.
Instead of being the cool-headed detective he usually is, Kit flies off the handle at a suspect, and Lisa Connor-Swain is forced to intervene. She has no clue what he's going through, so she tells him to take a day off and cool down. But it's clear she's not impressed with his antics.

"If Lisa knew the truth, she would rally round Kit," predicts our spy. "But she's in the dark, and Kit isn't talking. His career means everything to him, so the last thing Kit needs is to lose his job as well as battling cancer."
But as Kit continues to struggle with opening up about having breast cancer, will his emotions get the better of him and ruin the life he's fighting for?
