SUNU Assurances shareholders approve directors, new auditor

Shareholders of SUNU Assurances Nigeria Plc have approved the re-election of Aisha Abubakar as a director and ratified the appointments of three directors at the company’s 39th Annual General Meeting held in Lagos.

The shareholders also approved the appointment of TAC Professional Services as the company’s external auditor, replacing the retiring audit firm, SIAO Partners.

The AGM, held on Friday in Lagos considered and received the company’s consolidated audited financial statements for the year ended 31 December, 2025, alongside reports by the directors, Audit Committee and external auditors.

The appointments ratified by shareholders include Lucie Tannous Barry as Independent Non-Executive Director, Roland Ouedraogo as Non-Executive Director and Olayinka Adaramola as Executive Director, Technical Operations.

Shareholders authorised the Board of Directors to determine the remuneration of TAC Professional Services for the 2026 financial year.

They also approved the disclosure of the remuneration of the company’s managers as contained in the 2025 audited financial statements.

The meeting further elected three shareholder representatives to the Audit Committee: Samuel Adekunle Adedoyin, Oba Yekini Ajadi Olanrewaju and Oluyinka Oniwinde.

The Board’s representatives on the Audit Committee are Aisha Abubakar and Roland Ouedraogo.

In the special business segment, shareholders authorised the Board to determine the remuneration of the company’s Non-Executive Directors for the 2026 financial year.

They also approved the renewal of the company’s general mandate for related-party transactions.

The resolutions were signed by company secretary, Taiwo Kuku.
