Thursday began on a sombre note for India as legendary actor Nana Patekar breathed his last at the age of 75. Patekar was found unconscious at his home in Dona Paula, Goa, and was rushed to Manipal Hospital, where doctors tried to revive him for nearly 45 minutes before declaring him dead. Making his acting debut with the 1978 film Gaman, Patekar went on to establish himself as one of the most prominent actors in Hindi and Marathi cinema. From his villainous roles in 'Parinda' and 'Agni Sakshi' to his memorable comic timing in 'Welcome', Patekar's performances were always a treat for his fans.
As the country grieves the loss of the legendary actor, an old video has resurfaced on social media in which Patekar is seen expressing his admiration for star India batter Virat Kohli.
