Phoebe Bridgers to Make Her ‘SNL’ Return as Musical Guest on John Mulaney-Hosted Episode

Phoebe Bridgers won’t be having a lost weekend halfway through November, as the indie-rock star is all booked up for a return as musical guest on the Nov. 14 episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by John Mulaney.

NBC announced the news on Thursday (Oct. 22), revealing that in addition to Bridgers and the stand-up comedian, 30 Rock will soon welcome The Strokes as musical guests on the Nov. 7 Druski-hosted episode. As previously revealed, the week before that will feature Obsession star Inde Navarrette hosting and Gracie Abrams performing on the heels of Billboard 200-topping album Daughter From Hell.

The boygenius artist — whose new album Lost Weekend debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. albums chart — has previously been on SNL, making headlines in 2021 for smashing her guitar to pieces while singing “Kyoto” on the program. Mulaney is a seasoned veteran, with the Nov. 14 installment set to mark his seventh time hosting.

Druski, however, is new to the gig, as Nov. 7 will mark his hosting debut. The Strokes will be able to show him around, though, as the rock band has served as musical guests four times already.

The updates come shortly after SNL drew controversy for its most recent episode on Oct. 10, which featured Rosalía as musical guest and Shane Gillis as host. His opening monologue sparked immediate backlash for including derogatory comments about women’s gym attire, something stars such as Maren Morris and Flavor Flav blasted online in the days that followed.

SNL is currently three episodes deep into its 52nd season, which kicked off in September with an episode helmed by Jalen Brunson that featured KATSEYE on the music stage. The following week, Dakota Johnson hosted and Turnstile served as music guest.
