New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson To Guest Star on ‘Law & Order: SVU’
New York Knicks star and longtime Law & Order: SVU fan Jalen Brunson will guest star on the upcoming 28th season of the venerable NBC crime drama.
Brunson will appear in Season 28’s fifth episode, scheduled to air on Nov. 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. His role is being kept under wraps.
The casting reunites Brunson with SVU star, Knicks superfan and recent Emmys host Mariska Hargitay. The Knicks point guard appeared in the show’s pre-tape opening musical number with Hargitay, along with a slew of dancers and extras.
“It’s just a lot of pressure. Have you ever felt like you had millions of eyes on you and it all comes down to one night?” Hargitay asked Brunson in the skit as she steamed her dress and he was steaming his jersey.
“Seriously?” he asked. “Hey, Jalen, it’s just me. I don’t have anyone to step it in for me,” Hargitay replied, referring to the Knicks’ iconic game-winning tip-in by OG Anunoby in Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs.
Brunson also is set to host the Season 52 premiere of Saturday Night Live on Sept. 26 with musical guest Katseye. And of course, he’ll back on NBC and Peacock when the World Champion Knicks open their season on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. ET from Madison Square Garden against LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Law & Order: SVU chronicles the lives of the Special Victims Unit of the New York City Police Department, an elite squad of detectives who investigate crimes of sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence.
In addition to Hargitay, Ice T, Peter Scanavino, Kelli Giddish, Kevin Kane, Aimé Donna Kelly and Corey Cott also star.
