WEST END FINAL

Police have launched an investigation after human bones were discovered in an east London park.

Forensic specialists have since been spotted at the popular dog-walking spot as investigations continue.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told the same publication: "On Tuesday, 3 November at around 13:50hrs, police were alerted to reports of bones being found in Seven Kings Park, Ilford.

"While further investigation is ongoing, the bones are believed to be human.

“A crime scene remains in place while enquiries continue.”

The park in the borough of Redbridge spans more than 48 acres, featuring circular 1.4km walking trail, a cricket pitch, skate park, and children’s play area.

The park is managed by Vision RCL (Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure).

The Standard has contacted the Metropolitan Police and Vision RCL for comment.
