Senior political leader arrested for khalwat
SHAH ALAM: A senior political party leader was reportedly arrested on suspicion of committing khalwat in Petaling district yesterday.
Photographs and video clips showing the 44-year-old politician and a woman holding an important position being ushered into a van by the authorities went viral on social media.
Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) director Datuk Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad confirmed that an arrest involving a public figure over an alleged khalwat offence was made in Petaling district about 6pm yesterday.
