Big Brother fans defend Housemate after eviction chants: "They got in his head"

Translate

Big Brother has aired the fallout from Friday night's eviction, which saw Pauline making her exit. And while most of the Housemates were welcoming new Houseguest Gemma Collins, Samuel was distracted by the noise from outside.

The live crowd were chanting to "get Rochelle out", following her clashes with multiple others Housemates. However, in tonight's episode Samuel believed the chants were for him, with Lynx confirming his theory.

Samuel entered the Diary Room to share his feelings about the chants, fearing he had upset the viewers somehow. He became visibly emotional as he worried he had let his family down in the House.

Fans were heartbroken to see Samuel so down over a big misunderstanding. They took to Twitter/X calling for someone to reveal the truth to ease his conscience.

"Sam is breaking my heart everyone loves him omg," said one, with another writing: "Oh no, my winner is crying. Sam hasn't even done anything wrong and I definitely didn't hear get Sam out chants."

"No sam is breaking my heart. TELL HIM THEY WAS SAYING ROCHELLE," posted a third, while a fourth said: "Sam getting himself all wound up over nothing it was ROCHELLE"

A fifth added: "They got in his head! it was deffo get Rochelle out!!!!!"

Others were looking for ways to get the information to Sam, with one suggesting: "can big brother tell Sam it was not about him wth ? That's evil."

"Nooo poor Sam, someone throw a tennis ball and tell him what they actually said," wrote another.

Meanwhile, the other Housemates also noticed Samuel's glum demeanour and Philip assured him he didn't hear anything from the crowd.

Later, Gemma also imparted some words of wisdom from her own experience on the show.

"I was the most booed contestant when I left this house. I'm the most iconic, darling. Let's have it right," she said, adding: "They were chanting get Rochelle out. She's still here."

Big Brother airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
