It feels like there's a new release coming out around The Legend of Zelda franchise every day right now, and if you're a fan, it's pretty much a golden era of new products right now. The Ocarina of Time Remake's arrival in November might be absorbing most of the attention, but there's so much to get involved in and collect outside of that for the community.
A big part of that push to rejuvenate Zelda as part of its 40th anniversary is the release of additional goodies that give us a deeper understanding of the games of old, and the latest of those could easily be one of the most exciting to date.

As first reported by GameRant, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Hyrule is a new book that explores overlooked NPCs from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It does this by telling additional stories from the perspective of characters who never got to shared their view on the events that happen during the game's runtime, and that's a genuinely ingenious approach for a game of this ilk.
In sharing a bit about what fans can expect if they commit to the purchase and buy the book, the publisher included the following description:
"Everyone knows the story of the Hero of Time who saved the Kingdom of Hyrule from falling into darkness forever. But, beyond the hero, the princess, and the villain, there are other characters whose decisions were key to forging this legend. Echoes of Hyrule narrates, in the form of stories, various events of the video game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time , ordered chronologically, starting even before the beginning of the game and going beyond the lands of Hyrule.
"Here, the protagonists are the characters whose stories have never been told, yet who were always there; those who accompany and even help the Hero of Time and, in turn, enrich the world with their own narratives. What are their lives like? What desires do they have? How did they end up? They all play a silent yet important role, and, thanks to their decisions, our hero was able to succeed in his adventure."
The Deluxe Edition costs €25.95 and includes the 332-page hardcover book, an Ocarina of Time Card print, and two exclusive bookmarks. The Hero of Time Edition costs €35.95, but it's worth noting that you can only pick that up from the Game Press website.
It would certainly be a great way to fill your time for the next month or so, particularly so you can appreciate all of those little details included in the Ocarina of Time Remake when it does drop in November, particularly if they have added more this time around.
