India clinched the women’s cricket gold medal at the Asian Games 2026 after beating Sri Lanka in the final on Tuesday.
With this win, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led has equalled Pakistan’s gold-medal tally in the Asiad’s history. Pakistan won the top prize in the 2010 and 2014 editions. The Women in Blue hadn’t taken part in those two iterations.
List of gold medallists in women’s cricket at Asian Games
- Guangzhou 2010 — Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 10 wickets
- Incheon 2014 — Pakistan beat Bangladesh by four runs
- Hangzhou 2023 — India beat Sri Lanka by 19 runs
- Aichi-Nagoya 2026 — India beat Sri Lanka by 147 runs
