TV tonight: Leo Reich’s new London sitcom especially for gen z

Translate

10.05pm, Channel 4
Comedian Leo Reich has created the great British sitcom for generation Z. “It just feels like everything is over,” says 23-year-old unemployed Ethan, rather unbearably, as he and his best mates from uni, Abi (Emily Fairn) and Sam (Olive Gray), leave their shared house. As they bounce around London trying to figure their lives out, there are funny and sorely relatable results. Plus, cracking guest stars include Amelia Dimoldenberg, Andrew Scott and Lena Dunham. Hollie Richardson

Did James Acaster, Maya Jama and Kenny manage to bore poor Jerry Hall or Ross Kemp to death? It’s time to find out who was murdered in the great yawn-off. Meanwhile, how is Miranda Hart coping after losing her dear new friend Joe Lycett? And will Michael Sheen change his approach after being voted the leader of the round table? It’s the penultimate week of the competition so things are about to heat up. HR

The Pride of Britain awards 2026

8pm, ITV1
Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo host this annual celebration of remarkable Britons. Expect unsung heroes from across the nation and from a variety of backgrounds, with awards celebrating outstanding bravery; emergency services staff who have gone above and beyond; and courageous children or teens, among others. Hannah J Davies

The Yorkshire Vet

8pm, Channel 5
You can depend on Channel 5 for uber-gentle programming with “Yorkshire” in the title, although this long-running series does showcase some tough cases amid the idyllic rural stuff. Former battery hen Jemima has had a tough life and now has a painful prolapse, while Ella the cat’s sore eyes require surgical intervention. HJD

Taskmaster

9.05pm, Channel 4
A worrying incident (and a Taskmaster first), as an attempt to avoid a flying sausage leads to actual bloodshed. Other firsts include a new method of counting (pioneered by Isy Suttie) and a new word (thanks to Nina Conti). Elsewhere, Alex’s new “science machine” elicits a level of scorn that may also be unprecedented. Phil Harrison

Mercury prize 2026: Album of the Year

9.30pm, BBC Four
Paul McCartney is one of the first-time nominees for the prestigious album award this year. He’s up there with Dove Ellis, Jade, Dave, Knats, Kojey Radical, War Child, Nia Archives and Olivia Dean. They are joined by Raye, with her second nomination, Florence + the Machine with their fourth, and previous winners Suede. Lauren Laverne hosts the event from Utilita Arena, Newcastle. HR
