MOF: Budi95 and Budi Diesel monthly entitlements back to 300L today

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 1 — The basic monthly eligibility limit under Budi Madani has been increased from 200 to 300 litres, effective today.

The Ministry of Finance (MOF), in a Facebook post, said the adjustment covers Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) and Budi Madani Diesel (Budi Diesel), with eligible recipients entitled to up to 300 litres monthly.

The subsidised price remains RM1.99 per litre for RON95 and RM2.10 per litre for diesel under the respective schemes.

For owners of private diesel-powered pick-up trucks and jeeps, the monthly entitlement can reach 400 litres, including an additional 100 litres for those who qualify and apply for it.

“No reapplication is required for existing recipients. New applications for the additional 100 litres of Budi Diesel can be made through the BudiMadani.gov.my portal,” the ministry said.

The additional allocation raises the monthly entitlement for eligible private diesel pick-up truck and jeep owners from 300 to 400 litres from today.

Those who had already secured approval for the additional 100 litres do not need to submit a fresh application, as their entitlement will be automatically adjusted to 400 litres.

According to MOF, more than half a million owners of private diesel-powered pick-up trucks and jeeps are eligible to apply for the additional allocation.

The adjustment follows an announcement by Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in his 2026 National Day Address last Sunday that the basic monthly Budi Madani entitlement would be increased from 200 to 300 litres.

Implementation of the adjustment is automatic for Budi95 and Budi Diesel recipients, subject to their respective eligibility.

A total of 16 million users benefit from subsidised RON95 at RM1.99 per litre, while more than 700,000 of them are also eligible for subsidised diesel at RM2.10 per litre. — Bernama
