Anthropic achieved highest junk rating in June, on track to hit investment grade: report

- Anthropic (ANTHRO) achieved the highest rating given to junk debt in June from Kroll Bond Rating in June, the Financial Times reported. That puts the artificial intelligence frontier lab on track to hit investment grade status.
- The rating agency provided the maker of Claude AI models with a double B plus rating in June, the news outlet added, citing documents. The rating was given before Anthropic received $35B in financing from financial firm Apollo (APO) in June.
- Led by CEO Dario Amodei, Anthropic is widely expected to pursue an initial public offering that could value the firm at $1.5T or more in the coming months.
- Anthropic and Kroll did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
