Kenya Power Announces Planned Power Maintenance in Five Counties on September 23

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity maintenance that will affect parts of Nairobi, Nyeri, Meru, Murang’a and Kitui counties on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

The scheduled interruptions will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in all the affected areas as the utility company carries out maintenance on its electricity distribution network.

Customers in the affected areas have been advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the planned interruptions.

Nairobi County

In Nairobi, the maintenance will affect parts of Kitsuru.

The affected area includes:

• Part of Kirawa Road
• Adjacent customers

The interruption is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Nyeri County

In Nyeri County, maintenance will affect areas around Tumutumu Hospital and Ngandu Girls Secondary School.

The affected areas include:
