MMDA: Quezon City areas to undergo road repairs, rehabilitation


MANILA, Philippines — Several areas in Quezon City will be temporarily restricted starting Friday evening as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) begins rehabilitation works, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.
In an advisory, the MMDA said that the DPWH will conduct road reblocking and repairs along the following areas starting Sept. 11, at 11 p.m.:
- Payatas Road from Petron Gas Station to Salcedo Street
- Payatas Road from San Miguel Street to Wilcon
- Quezon Avenue from Biak na Bato to Cordillera
- Sgt. Rivera from opposite D. Tuazon A. Bonifacio Avenue
- Sgt. Rivera from Banawe to Sto. Domingo
“The activities will be done during nighttime only from 11 pm until 5 am,” the MMDA assured.

The agency advised motorists traveling in the affected areas to take alternative routes during the DPWH’s scheduled repairs. The operations would end on Monday, Sept. 14, at 5 a.m, it added.
