Franklin Malaysia apologises after fans complain of overcrowding at pickleball showcase

Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: Franklin Malaysia has apologised to fans who attended the Anna Leigh Waters Asia Pro Showcase here yesterday after complaints about overcrowding, long entry queues, missed meet-and-greet sessions, and unfulfilled package experiences.

It said it would set up a dedicated channel for affected attendees to reach out.

"We sincerely apologise to those whose experience fell short of expectations.

"We acknowledge where we fell short, and we take responsibility for making things right," it said in a statement today.

It said its team was carefully reviewing the concerns raised and was committed to working towards fair and appropriate solutions.

"We are truly sorry for letting you down, and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your confidence," it added.

The statement did not specify when the dedicated channel would be launched or what form the proposed solutions would take.

The apology came after several attendees took to social media, claiming the event was oversold, with complaints of long queues, insufficient seating, and an overcrowded venue.

VIP package holders also said they missed out on merchandise and the meet-and-greet session they had paid for, with some calling for full refunds.

The showcase featured world No. 1 pickleball player Anna Leigh Waters and was held at 91 Pickleball, Hextar World at Empire City.
