Tanush Kotian Records Career-Best 8/81 As Mumbai Crush Haryana By 10 wickets

Tanush Kotian returned career-best figures of 8/81 as a dominant Mumbai registered a third consecutive bonus-point victory, crushing Haryana by 10 wickets in their Elite Group D Ranji Trophy match on Thursday. Chasing a modest target of 97, openers Angkrish Raghuvanshi (67 not out) and Divyaansh Saxena (30 not out) knocked off the runs in just 10.4 overs to hand Mumbai a full seven points from the contest. Mumbai had earlier overwhelmed Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh, securing bonus-point victories in the first two rounds of the Ranji Trophy.
The win, however, was not as straightforward as the final margin suggested. On the last day, Haryana's resilient eighth-wicket pair of Samant Jakhar (40) and Anuj Thakral (40 not out) made Mumbai's bowlers work hard on a slow surface.
Jakhar and Thakral dug in to frustrate the Mumbai attack, adding 81 runs for the eighth wicket before Kotian finally broke the stand by dismissing Jakhar.
Haryana, who resumed the day on 73/2 and trailing by 87 runs, were eventually bowled out for 256 in their follow-on innings during the second session, leaving Mumbai a target of 97.
Raghuvanshi raced to his half-century off just 29 balls and finished unbeaten on 67 from 39 deliveries, striking seven fours and three sixes. Saxena remained unbeaten on 30 off 25 balls, with two fours and two sixes.
