Biddy Blas actor reacts to Star Wars: Galactic Racer memes and reveals future hopes for the character

It's certainly been interesting to be online as of late with the newest 'Glup Shitto' breaking the internet in a flurry of memes – of course, I’m talking about none other than Biddy Blas.
Biddy Blas is a character that first debuted in Star Wars: Galactic Racer and he soon captured the hearts of fans with his small stature, over-confidence and crazy high-pitched voice that we still can’t get out of our heads.

Radio Times Gaming managed to sit down with the voice of Biddy Blas, actor and professional wrestler Richard Summers-Calvert, to talk about the success of the character and the response from the Star Wars community.
"I knew it would be very, very cool," Richard began. "Because I’m in the Star Wars universe – that in itself, is a huge celebration."
"Then it just turned out that the character was not only popular, but represented something bigger that Star Wars fans… unanimously were hoping for."
"On top of the game being incredibly successful… I feel very fortunate that I was in the position to thrive from it. It's insane."

Offline, Richard also got to experience the outpouring of Biddy Blas love when he attended Comic Con last week at the Excel Centre in London.
"People say with Comic Con you don’t know how you’re going to be received, and my queue was so long. I couldn’t believe it," Richard said.
"I was just so grateful, everyone was so lovely. And it's great, because not only do I learn more about the community that's so supportive, but also I’m learning more about Star Wars."
Of course, Biddy Blas wouldn’t be the icon that he is without the community coming together to make a tidal wave of memes that have been dominating the internet. We asked Richard what his favourites were so far.
"Oh, 'absolute Scrib Doon'!" Richard exclaimed. "I really, really enjoy the Dune posters of the next Dune movie – they’re great.
"I enjoy the thirst traps as well – people have said like, 'You made that one' and I was like 'I didn’t make that!'
Finally, on the topic of where the character might go next, Richard had this to say: "With that energy, you’d like to think, of course you hope, there could be more Biddy Blas – who knows?"
"My dreams for Biddy Blas are as big as Biddy Blas's dreams – which are big, because he needs to be famous for his mum!"
It's unclear whether or not we will see Biddy Blas return in another Star Wars IP, but what is certain is that the character will live in the hearts of fans everywhere – scrib doon!
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
