Namibia didn’t directly qualify for the ICC ODI World Cup 2027 despite being co-host with South Africa and Zimbabwe.

South Africa and Zimbabwe gained automatic qualifications since they are full-member nations.

However, Namibia being an associate nation, it will have to go through the qualification process to make it to the marquee tournament.

Namibia finished fifth in the ODI World Cup League 2 and will have to first play in the Qualifier Play-off. From there, the top four teams will qualify for the World Cup qualifiers to be held in February.

This is where the eight qualified teams, four from CWC League 2 and four from the Qualifier Play-offs, meet the two lowest-ranked non-host full-member nations, Ireland and West Indies in this edition.

The 10 teams will compete in a tournament, with the top four eventually securing spots at the World Cup. The top-ranked team will advance directly to the second round, while the other three will play a single round-robin Super Series, with the winner joining them in the second round.
