Complete Sports Celebrity Workout 3.0: ‘Why I’d Been Looking Forward To It’ — Fitness Instructor Omobhude
Fitness instructor Ehis Omobhude has revealed that he had been looking forward to the third edition of the Complete Sports Celebrity Workout (CSCW 3.0), which he enthusiastically participated in last Saturday, 10 October 2026, at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Participants turned out in large numbers, surpassing attendance at the previous two editions, to be part of the event.
The participants took part in four workout sessions: aerobics, functional fitness, yoga and Tabata.

Omobhude led the Tabata session, while Paul Uwagu handled Aerobics, King James Ghamis took charge of Functional Fitness, and Emmanuel Ugbem conducted the Yoga session.
Thumbs Up To Complete Sports Celebrity Workout Organisers
In an interview with Completesports.com, Omobhude praised the organisers, Complete Sports, and urged them to make the event an uninterrupted annual fixture.
“I had been looking forward to this Complete Sports Celebrity Workout since the last edition because I’m someone who likes fitness and the way awareness of fitness is growing in Nigeria,” Omobhude said with a broad smile.

He added: “So, when they (Complete Sports) said they were organising this edition and asked if I would like to join, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. If it’s something they can do annually, it would be a lovely thing to do.”

Omobhude also suggested that the organisers consider taking the next edition to the Lagos Mainland.
“The only thing I want to suggest is that we have an event on the Lagos Mainland. The previous edition of the Complete Sports Celebrity Workout and this one, the third edition, were held on the Island. So, if we can have one on the Mainland, it would be great because we could spread the awareness there, too. But overall, I will say kudos to Complete Sports,” he said.
The fitness instructor also explained the Tabata workout format and highlighted its benefits.
“Tabata is something you can do anywhere. It is a format of 20 seconds of exercise and 10 seconds of rest. So, if you’re wondering what it’s all about, you exercise for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds. The music plays for about four minutes, and during that period, you exercise for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds. By the end, you would have completed eight rounds,” he explained.

“It doesn’t have to be hectic, and it doesn’t have to involve jumping. As long as you are moving your body, before you know it, you will discover that you are already sweating and burning calories.”
On the participants’ response to the session, Omobhude said he was pleased with their reception, noting that many were unfamiliar with Tabata.

“The response from the participants was good. I discovered that not many people here knew about Tabata, so it was good to introduce it to them. If they go somewhere else, they will at least know that there is something called Tabata, which is a good form of workout,” he said.
Complete Sports Celebrity Workout: Omobhude Urges Nigerians to Exercise
The fitness instructor advised Nigerians to make time for regular physical activity, stressing that exercising does not necessarily require a gym membership.
“Everybody should create time. Everybody says there is no time, but you don’t have to go to the gym. When you mention exercise, people think about going to the gym. Sometimes, it is not about going to the gym. Even walking some distance around your estate or along your street is helpful to the body.

“My advice to Nigerians is to continue to embrace the idea of fitness. I would say that the culture of working out is growing, and there is greater awareness, especially with cases of heart attacks. A lot of people are taking it up, and I think they should continue, no matter how little,” Omobhude concluded.
