Police probe man's death after body found at Maryborough
Queensland police have launched an investigation into the sudden death of a man on the Fraser Coast.
Emergency services were called to Slaughterhouse Road in Maryborough West, about three hours north of Brisbane, just before 7am today and discovered an unresponsive man.
Officers declared the man deceased shortly after.
A crime scene has been established, with police working to determine the circumstances surrounding the man's cause of death.
Speaking at a separate press conference, Queensland Premier David Crisafulli said the death was "a very sad state of affairs".
"It's deeply troubling when something like that happens, particularly in a small community," he said.
