Netflix is removing Jason Statham's "spectacular" thriller very soon

Translate

Netflix is removing a "spectacular" Jason Statham thriller very soon, as is often the case with non-exclusive shows and films on streaming services. But as is also often the case with streamers, there are other options to fall back on.

2016's Mechanic: Resurrection sees Statham reprising the role of Arthur Bishop, after faking his own death at the end of 2011's The Mechanic.

However, his peace is soon shattered when people turn up looking to make use of his very specific set of skills, and they won't want to take no for an answer.

In terms of supporting cast, Mechanic: Resurrection boasts Jessica Alba, Tommy Lee Jones and the one and only Michelle Yeoh.

If you're intrigued, the last day you can watch the film on Netflix is Saturday, 31 October.

Don't worry though, as it's also available on ITVX, and Sky/NOW with the proper Cinema subscription.

As a reminder, ITVX is free with adverts on the base tier.

We're not going to pretend that Mechanic: Resurrection is any sort of critical darling, because it's not. It only has a 28% positive score on Rotten Tomatoes from 57 reviews.

It's one of those films that has done better with viewers, with one fan on IMDb calling it a "spectacular follow-up" with "plenty of frantic action , thrills , intrigue and lots of violence".

"Sure, this movie is dumb and has a lot of plot holes. Speaking of plot: There is no such thing as a plot", another user wrote. "The 'plot' is merely an excuse for the action in this movie. But this is exactly where it does succeed: Jason Statham is kicking some major ass here and this is where the movie is entertaining."

Mechanic: Resurrection is available on Netflix for now, and is also available on ITVX, Sky and NOW.
