Inter Kashi will look to strike luck after changing homes as it takes on Odisha FC in their second Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 match at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex here on Saturday.

Kashi began its campaign with a 0-2 defeat to Kerala Blasters last week, with goals from Vibin Mohanan and debutant Andree Green. Moving on to a battle between two Indian coaches, Abhijat Mondal of Kashi and T. G. Purushothaman, the match is set to be a clash between two teams coming off losses in their respective campaign openers.

The Juggernauts are looking to make a mark under the former Kerala Blasters manager, with several new signings such as Mahmoud Eid, Giorgi Aburjania, Manu Molina and Stephen Eze.

“We have signed good quality players, and the squad is very good right now. We have to fight for the top spot. All our 32 players are capable of everything. All the players play like brothers and as a family,” Purushothaman said in the pre-match press conference.

Odisha, however, suffered a setback with a 1-2 loss to Punjab, conceding goals in the first and last minutes of the match.

“We are all professionals, and we have to adapt to all the negative things. The focus is on (what happens) right now. We can’t go backwards, and there is no excuse for upcoming matches. The first match is gone, and we have to go for all the matches coming up,” Purushothaman said.

Odisha remains unbeaten against Kashi, having won 3-0 in the Super Cup and drawn goalless in the ISL last season, and the visitors will look to continue that on Saturday.

“When we go through the matches, we will rectify the mistakes (from the previous match.. We have worked on that — more finishing and more combination work will be there,” Purushothaman added.
