Pastor Kanyari Questions Manzi wa Mombasa After She Misses Church Despite Receiving Fare

Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has expressed frustration after social media personality Manzi wa Mombasa failed to attend Sunday church service despite receiving transport money from the preacher to facilitate her journey.

Speaking during a church service on Sunday, September 27, 2026, Kanyari said Manzi wa Mombasa had contacted him the previous day seeking financial assistance after telling him she could not attend church because she lacked transport fare.

According to the preacher, he sent her the money after she indicated that she wanted to attend the service.

However, when the service began and Manzi wa Mombasa had not arrived, Kanyari questioned what had happened and openly wondered whether she had already spent the money he had sent her.

Kanyari said he had expected Manzi wa Mombasa to turn up after receiving the fare but was surprised when she was absent.

“Yesterday she called me and said she wanted to come to church but was dismayed because she did not have transport money. And I did send her. But now I wonder where she is because she is not here. She has spent the fare money which I sent her. But also, you may see her coming in later on,” he said.

The preacher’s remarks reflected his frustration over having assisted her with transport only for her not to be present when the service was already underway.

He nevertheless left open the possibility that she could still arrive at the church later.

Kanyari revisits fallout with Manzi wa Mombasa

The incident also gave Kanyari an opportunity to revisit his previously strained relationship with Manzi wa Mombasa.

The preacher recalled that he had at one point expelled her from his church after becoming unhappy with some of the content she was sharing online.

According to Kanyari, Manzi wa Mombasa had been posting videos he considered inappropriate, prompting him to take action against her.

“She had been online doing some bad videos, and that is why I had at some point gotten mad and kicked her out of church,” Kanyari said.

The remarks come amid an ongoing public conversation surrounding Manzi wa Mombasa’s relationship with Kanyari and her involvement with his church.

Her decision to seek Kanyari’s assistance for transport, despite their previous disagreements, had appeared to suggest that communication between the two had continued.
