'My life will go to my grave': Salman Khan says a biopic on his life will never be made

Salman Khan has ruled out the possibility of a biopic about his life, saying he would prefer to keep his personal experiences private. The actor discussed the subject on 'Koffee With Karan' Season 9, where Karisma Kapoor asked him to choose a director for a hypothetical film based on his life.

Although Salman named four filmmakers for different storytelling styles, he made it clear that he would never allow his life story to be turned into a biopic.

Salman Khan says his biopic will never be made

During the rapid-fire round, Karisma Kapoor asked Salman which director he would select from Sooraj Barjatya, Kabir Khan, David Dhawan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actor matched each filmmaker with a different genre, explaining how they could approach various aspects of his life.

“Depending. If you want to make a comedy on my life, then David Dhawan. If you want to make a traditional tragic love story, then Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

If you want to make a beautiful love story after love story, it would be Sooraj Barjatya. If you want to make an action kind of love story, of all the things that have happened in my life, etc then Kabir Khan."However, Salman soon clarified that these choices were purely hypothetical.

He does not intend to have his experiences adapted for the screen, regardless of the filmmaker involved. “But a biopic of my life will never be made. My life will go to my grave," he said.

Salman Khan previously spoke against an autobiography

Earlier in 2017, speaking to PTI at the launch of Sania Mirza’s autobiography, 'Ace Against Odds', Salman revealed that he had no plans to write a book about his life. He explained that documenting his past could bring back painful memories and reopen old wounds.

The actor also made it clear that he would rather keep his personal history to himself.“I think I'll take my story to my grave. Nahi toh bohot saare graves khul jayenge (otherwise a lot of old wounds will open up)."Returning to the present, the discussion on 'Koffee With Karan' also touched on Salman’s future in cinema. During the rapid-fire round, Karisma asked which actress he would choose as his co-star if he ever decided to make his final film. Salman dismissed the suggestion that his retirement was approaching. “Last film not happening yet, bro. Not yet." Karisma agreed with the actor, adding, “Long time for that."Meanwhile, Salman is set to appear in 'Maatrubhumi', a patriotic war drama.
