AFCON 2027Q: 20 Players Arrive Super Eagles Camp for Madagascar, Guinea-Bissau Games

Twenty players have arrived at the Super Eagles’ camp in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.

The Super Eagles opened camp on Monday at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Ikot Ekpene, with head coach Éric Chelle, his assistants and other members of the backroom staff among the first to arrive.

Captain Wilfred Ndidi, winger Samuel Chukwueze and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali are also expected to join the squad later in the day.

The team is scheduled to hold its first training session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium , Uyo on Monday evening.

The first 15 minutes of the session will be open to the media and members of the public.

Nigeria will host the Barea of Madagascar on Friday before travelling to Bissau to face the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau next Tuesday.

The Super Eagles will be hoping to begin their qualifying campaign on a positive note as they aim to secure a place at the 2027 AFCON tournament.
