KUALA LUMPUR: The 2027 Budget announcement will begin at 3.30pm this Friday, 30 minutes earlier than initially scheduled.

Deputy Speaker Datuk Ramli Md Nor said a notice informing members of Parliament about the change had been circulated.

"The fifth session of the 15th Parliament will sit from today until Tuesday, Dec 8, for a total of 37 days.

"Among the important matters to be debated and considered during this session is the 2027 Budget, for which the second reading has been brought forward to 3.30pm this Friday," he told the Dewan Rakyat today.

Ramli said Friday prayers would also be held within the Parliament complex.

He said this week's proceedings, from today until Thursday, would focus on briefings by select committee chairmen, debates on the Auditor-General's Report 2, 2026 Session, and Bills.

He added that three briefings by select committee chairmen on their respective committee statements would be presented today.
