5 Coronation Street spoilers for tonight as Sam is caught out over Eva incident

Coronation Street spoilers follow from Wednesday's episode (30 September), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Coronation Street, Sam could be in big trouble as the truth about Eva's fall begins to emerge.

Meanwhile, Carl and Debbie take a major step backwards, and Jodie schemes to get some alone time with David.

1. Carl feels betrayed by Debbie

Carl is baffled when he's taken in for police questioning about Eva's attack at the Rovers. Unsurprisingly, he's quickly able to clear his name – Kevin and Ronnie's theory of a botched robbery holds no water, as there's no money missing.

With one crisis for Carl averted, he turns his attention to how Debbie doubted his innocence – which threatens to send their fragile mother-son relationship straight back to square one.

2. Sam is caught out

Sam continues to hide the truth about what happened to Eva, but friends and family are starting to realise that he isn't his usual self.

Before long, someone figures out that Sam is hiding his own guilt in the Eva case – but what will they do with the information?

3. Jodie tries to bond with David

Jodie gets her hair done by David at the salon as she claims to be preparing for a date, but she soon announces that the guy in question has cancelled at the last minute.

Hoping to distract David from Shona, scheming Jodie convinces him to join her for a drink instead.

4. Lucy continues to push the boundaries

Lucy is grounded by Tim and Sally as a punishment for her recent bad behaviour.

When £40 soon disappears from Tim's wallet, it seems highly likely that Lucy hasn't learned her lesson!

5. Betsy rejects help at the factory

Sean spots that Betsy seems to be struggling at the factory and offers his help, but she's offended and lashes out.

Carla is dismayed when Betsy asks to be taken home – it's clear that her return to work hasn't gone well at all...
