"I Call Him Mahi Chachu": Actor, Who Has 37 Million Followers, Reveals Wholesome Bond With MS Dhoni

To cricket fans around the world, legendary India captain MS Dhoni is 'Captain Cool'. To teammates and family, he is 'Mahi'. But to popular actor and influencer Anushka Sen, he is 'Mahi chachu' (Mahi uncle). Sen, who has more than 37 million followers on Instagram, revealed her wholesome interactions with the former India skipper in a recent interview. Having worked in several advertisements and commercials together, the duo now share a special bond. With both hailing from Ranchi, Anushka shared how their bond developed.
"I met Mahendra Singh Dhoni - I call him Mahi chachu - like 10 years back, when I was very young. The first thing I told him when I entered the vanity, I was like, 'You're from Ranchi, I'm also from Ranchi!'," said Anushka Sen, in an interview with Mashable India.
"So he was so happy, and he was like, 'oh, really?' And that was the first conversation, and that's how we connected," she revealed.
The 24-year-old actor, who has appeared in four films and several television shows, further reflected on her bond with Dhoni.
"Ever since that, our bond was not like actor-actor or colleagues. It was like Mahi chachu and Chikki.
"He always used to enter the set and be like 'Chikki!', and I used to be like 'Chachu!'. We worked for seven years, and we did 21 ads together," she further said.
