The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake offered glimpses from across the kingdom in its first full trailer earlier this month, but plenty of iconic areas were only seen in brief snippets. That doesn't mean that everything unseen will remain a mystery until launch, though.
Marketing for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has continued to show off more of the game, providing extended looks at a few key locations across Hyrule. The latest snippet shows off a particularly notable overhaul, transforming Zora's Domain into an area with a very different vibe compared to the original game's presentation.
On X, the official Japanese Zelda account shared a video of Link running around Zora's Domain, an area which didn't get much love in the official trailer. While the Zora princess Ruto appeared in the trailer, and Link took a dive from the heights of the domain, there wasn't much of an overview look at the surrounding environs.
Here, we get a clear picture of what the area looks like, and it's been reimagined from the comparatively barren cave environment of the original game. There's an increased emphasis on Zora architecture here, with twisting columns and cobblestone paths bringing the area more in line with interpretations of the Zora in later Zelda games like Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild. The lake itself is also more lush than before, with plenty of plant life visible beneath the crystalline water.
While the remake has been consistent in adding detail to every area of Hyrule, this is one of the most radical transformations overall. The original game also presented a sense of beauty in Zora's Domain, but it was more of a calm stillness rather than the opulence of the new take. Whether that change in energy is for the better or worse is a matter of individual taste, but it's certainly a feast for the senses this time around.
The new footage still doesn't show everything, and it'll be interesting to eventually get a thorough look at the throne room itself, which was the most ostentatious part of the area in the original game. I wouldn't be surprised if the throne room was absolutely dazzling here, but in the new scene of Link jumping from the cliff connected to the throne room, it's impossible to make out any real background details.
Fans won't have long to wait until they can explore the reimagined version of Zora's Domain for themselves, at least if they're already committed to the Nintendo Switch 2 ecosystem. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will release on November 5, 2026, getting the jump on the juggernaut release of Grand Theft Auto 6 by two weeks.
