2 militants killed in encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur; search widened

Two unidentified militants were killed in a gunfight in Jammu’s Udhampur on Wednesday night. Following the gunfight, further reinforcement has been set to the area and the joint team of  forces have intensified combing operations.

Officials said that on Wednesday late evening, the security forces opened fire after observing suspicious movement in Majalta area of Jammu’s Udhampur.

As the joint team of forces launched a search operation in the area, they detected some movement. They said during the search operations, militants opened fire. The joint team of forces retaliated the fire leading to a gunfight. Two unidentified militants were killed in the gunfight.
