Sifuna cleared to reserve party name

Translate

OFFICE OF the Registrar of Political Parties approves Senator Edwin Sifuna's application to reserve Linda Mwananchi Movement name.

The Registrar of Political Parties has approved the name for a 90-day reservation period.

This follows the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal’s decision on  September 30, to set aside the Registrar’s earlier refusal and order a reconsideration of the application.

It comes at a time when Charles Wanyonyi is seeking priority for his February 24, 2026 application for the Linda Mwananchi Party of Kenya, which he claims predates Sifuna's June applications.
