Nigerian actor and content creator, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has expressed gratitude to people who supported him through what he described as “one of the hardest moments” of his life.

In a post shared on X on Saturday, Mr Macaroni said he cried after reading messages from people recounting things he had done for them at different times, many of which he said he did not remember.

He said the messages made him realise that he had been focusing too much on what he had lost instead of being grateful to God for seeing him through his struggles.

“I think this is God’s way of telling me to also be thankful!!! I have been thinking too much about what I lost instead of thanking God for seeing me through one of the hardest moments of my life,” he wrote.

Mr Macaroni said he was accustomed to giving and rarely asked for help, but disclosed that he eventually sought assistance from people during his difficult period.

“I am used to always giving and hardly ever receiving because everyone thought I had in abundance. I have also always found it difficult to ask for help,” he said.

He revealed that an unnamed person repeatedly helped him settle his debts, describing the support as an intervention he believed could only have been orchestrated by God.

“God used one person to settle all that I owed! And this help came over and over again! I don’t think any sane person would do what he did for me without God’s intervention!” he wrote.

Mr Macaroni also thanked his fans, whom he referred to as “Mr Macaroni & Friends,” for standing by him.

“To my closest people in the World (Mr Macaroni & Friends) Thank you for not neglecting me even when you had every reason to. Thank you for saving me,” he wrote.

He also expressed appreciation to music executive, Don Jazzy, saying he had supported him since his university days.

“To Don Jazzy, who has been giving me since my university days up till now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do, not just for me but for so many others!!!” he said.

The actor also thanked Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji for their support.

Mr Macaroni said he was now “in a better place” and was learning and doing things that made him happy.

“I don’t and will never regret anything I have ever done in my life to make the lives of others better in even the smallest way possible,” he said.

He added that the challenges had taught him important lessons and given him greater clarity.

“May the love in our hearts be forever greater than the hate in the world,” he concluded.

The post attracted reactions from fans and followers, with Gilmore recalling Mr Macaroni’s support for videographers, writing, “You came for my first YouTube skit in 2024 still share bundle give videographers.”

Another follower #Olúseun Onigbinde, wrote, “May your tribe increase. Keep riding on a bicycle!”

#Victor Nwoke also recalled receiving $200 from Mr Macaroni during a previous encounter, writing, “I remember when you came for your renewal of visa at our office, you gave me and my colleagues 200 dollars each… Thank you so much.”

PUNCHONLINE had earlier reported that a public praise for Mr Macaroni’s generosity, resurfaced on Saturday after veteran actor Peter Fatomilola recounted how the actor gave him ₦1m when they worked together on a film.

Fatomilola also recalled Mr Macaroni giving him ₦200,000 for fuel and extending financial gestures to his son and grandchild.
