Translate

Spain's prime minister, Pedro Sanchez, has called an early election as the country grapples with a housing crisis.

In an address to the nation, Mr Sanchez said the election would be held on November 29.

The announcement comes after parliament rejected housing relief measures proposed by his government as tens of thousands gathered in Madrid over the weekend to demand affordable housing.
